The Truth about Truth
In the Roman Mythology, Veritas is the goddess of truth, the daughter of Saturn and the mother of Virtue. People once believed that this goddess hid in the bottom of a holy well because she was so mysterious. The image of Veritas is characterized as a young virgin dressed in white. Veritas is also the name given to Roman virtue of truthfulness, one of the main virtues that a Roman must possess.
