SUPAY Program

Supay means to overflow or to provide supply that is sufficient for everybody. As a development principle, Supay believes that resources are exhaustible and thus calls for ecological and resource management as a means toward sustainable development. It has the following ongoing projects:

  1. Fisheries Resource Management Project : A collaborative project with DA-BFAR and LGUs for community organizing and livelihood development in the coastal communities of Tabaco and Tiwi in Albay and Presentacion and Caramoan in Camarines Sur.
  2. Binosawan Micro-Hydro Power Project : A community-based renewable energy project in the island town of Rapu Rapu, Albay, financially assisted by UNDP and UK Embassy, and supported by AQ Foundation in partnership with the community-based organization Sagip-Isla, SIBAT, and the Parish of Rapu Rapu.
  3. Provincial Water Resources Management Program : A collaborative water resources development and management project, spearheaded by the Albay Provincial Government and Aquinas University in partnership with the 18 municipal and city LGUs of Albay, water district utilities, various government agencies, and other stakeholders.
