Employees celebrate annual Christmas party

With the motif “University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi (UST-Legazpi) Christmas RO-DEO”, employees and outsourced personnel dressed as cowboys and cowgirls clustered at the UST-Legazpi Dome on December 21, 2018, to celebrate the university’s annual employees’ Christmas party. The employees excitedly gathered at the registration area to claim their gift stubs and drop their raffle draw entries in the fish bowl for the cluster raffle draw and in the tambyolo for the grand raffle draw. After, the employees proceeded to their respective clusters. Simultaneously, the Office of Religious Affairs (ORA) and the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE) conducted a Christmas trivia game to keep the audience occupied.

The program proper was started by Rev. Fr. Ramiro De Belen, OP, as he led the opening prayer. Rector and President Rev. Fr. Ernesto M. RODEO (RO-DEO), aside from its unique Bicolano cultural background, is given a meaning ROAD (RO) and DEO (Latin word of God or “to God). Therefore, RODEO is an avenue where every Thomasian employee is given an opportunity to rejoice and be glad and direct his or her thanksgiving “to God” who is our Good Sheperd.
