Notes: The High School Alumni Homecoming (Tarampurukan)2011

The alumni homecoming of the high school department was successfully conducted on December 30, 2011. The activity was facilitated by the officers of the High School Alumni Association, under the aegis of its president, Dr. Gari Zamora, in close coordination with the Office of Alumni affairs. This was attended by former administrators, former mentors, and alumni of the high school department. High school students from SHS and SPA made a beautiful opening salvo.

The activity was highlighted by the messages of the Rector and President, Fr. Ernesto M. Arceo, O.P.; Mr. Vicente Tuazon, former Principal; Atty. Mafeo Vibal, 1951 jubilarian who came home from the US just to attend the activity; and Dr. Gari Zamora, High School Alumni Assoc. President.

There were about 234 attendees whose presence made the affair beautiful and meaningful. They represent the different batches of Legazpi College HS, Aquinas University High School, Science Oriented High School, Science High School and Special Program in the Arts.

The 1951 jubillarians who attended were: Arme Santos Tan, Mafeo Vibal, Jose Sarte Jr. and Lorenzo Adornado.

Heartfelt thanks to the alumni- donors who provided the food , the tokens to the administrators and faculty and most of the expenses during the affair: Cong. Fernando V. Gonzalez, Cong. Rodel Batocabe, Dr. Gari Zamora, Dr. Jun Estevez , Aida Costa, Patty Bajamundi, Joan Jamisal, and Batch 1975.

Cong. Fernando V. Gonzales, Fr. Ramonclaro G. Mendez OP, and Fr. Orlando Aceron OP were not able to come because of health reasons. Much as they want to come but they were advised by their doctors not to travel. They sent their felicitations and messages through phone and texts. We hope that they could make it next year.

Batch 1987 will be the main sponsor of the homecoming next year. Other Jubillarians will co -sponsor.
