Tigers snag medals in Regional PRISAA 2018

The University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi (UST-Legazpi) athletes garnered numerous medals at the regional leg of the Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) 2018.

The UST-Legazpi Tigers ran an outstanding tally, garnering a total of six gold, three silver, and five bronze medals in various events on Feb. 21-25, 2018 at the host school, the University of Nueva Caceres in Naga City.

Here are the Legazpi Thomasian medalists:

Elje Carl Borromeo – Table Tennis Singles

Jaypee Sabaulan – Badminton Men Singles

Nicole Guillermo and Emma Flor Ubalde – Badminton Women Doubles

Angelika Mae Alamo, Jaylarose Angulo, Jonabelle Boragay, Jeanne Khay Bajamundi, Ma. Cylen Cernechez, Mary Rose Crescini, Joseth Madronio, Carmela Lotivio, Alona Villamor – Basketball Women

The Beach Volleyball teams (men and women), trained by Coach Arnold Beringuela, emerged as over-all champions in Volleyball and secured their spot in the PRISAA National meet to be held in Bohol on April 21-28, 2018.
