AQUI celebrates AQUIlympics, closes Buwan ng mga Wika

The Aquinas University of Legazpi Integrated School (AQUI) is celebrating their yearly intramurals from August 22 to 25, with the theme Loyalty and Friendship through Sports. It is also holding the closing activities for Buwan ng mga Wika.

Students from the pre-school to the high school department were divided into four groups vying for supremacy in 14 sports and other events such as the search for Mr. and Miss Intrams 2012, and synchronized dancing and cheering competitions.

The literary musical show, or Litmus, is part of the culminating activity of the celebration of the Buwan ng mga Wika.

Sports events include athletics, badminton, basketball, billiards, bowling, chess, dart, Game of the Generals, scrabble, soccer, swimming, tennis, table tennis, and volleyball.

Groups were named after dog breeds Rottweiler, Mastiff, Retriever, and Huskies.

The intramurals opened August 22 with a Mass and parade at the University grounds. Awarding is set from 9:30-11:00am, August 25, at the AQ Dome.
