UST Pharmacy dean helps jumpstart AUL program

University of Santo Tomas (UST) College of Pharmacy Dean Dr. Priscilla Torres, with Professor Aleth Therese Dacanay, visited the University August 24, for a consultation meeting with school officials regarding the Pharmacy program.

The UST team has been invited to help evaluate the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy program, which the University is preparing for re-application to CHED.

“They will be helping check the requirements for the re-application,” said Academic Coordinator Prof. Lilian Legson.

The University is in the process of completing the requirements based on the recommendations of the National Quality Assurance Team for Pharmacy, which evaluated the proposed program earlier.

The UST team met with Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr. Susana Cabredo, Registrar Leticia Roque, Librarian Benilda Yap, Laboratories and Instrumentation Department Director Jayne Faustino, College of Nursing and Health Sciences Dean Vicente Peralta, and Academic Coordinator Lilian Legson.

The AUL officials earlier accompanied Dr. Torres and Prof. Dacanay in a courtesy call to AUL Rector and President Rev. Fr. Ernesto Arceo, OP at the Rector’s Office.

The University is targeting a four-year curriculum in BS Pharmacy.
